JEFF COOLEY

CDC Interviews Jeff Cooley

WHEN TRAVELING, I AM MOST INSPIRED BY:
Architecture. I can wander through cities for hours and never get tired of looking at the sites. I also love the energy of cities. It’s invigorating.
AS A CHILD I:
Wanted to be an Architect from about the age of 10 or 11. By the time I got to college, I decided that it wasn’t quite what I thought it would be. It took me a few more years to realize that Interior Design just made more sense for me.
I WOULDN’T MIND HAVING A LONG LAYOVER IN:
New York, Paris, London, anywhere that I might be able to get out and explore.
I START MY DAY BY:
A cup of coffee and a long walk with my dog. We take the same route every day, so it gives me a chance to get centered and think about the day to come.
MY DESIGN PET PEEVE:
Over-design. Most of the time less really is more.
MY FAVORITE COUNTRY:
USA. Is that too predictable? There’s so much of this country that I would still like to see.
