History. The older the city or town, the better. The harder it was to create something beautiful, the more I am inspired by it.

I have the blessing of time. I love to ponder over a design project and really think about it before diving in.

MY DESIGN PET PEEVE:
When others don’t know when to stop. Good design needs negative space and breathing room.
MY SIGNATURE DESIGN TRICK:
Lighting. It’s all about the lighting! I’m always thinking of ways to bring light to a space with fixtures or overhead lighting or windows. A dark room feels heavy no matter how beautifully it’s furnished.
I START MY DAY BY:
By getting up immediately when the alarm goes off and going straight into the shower!
